Dr. John McLemore

Dr.
McLemore is a 1982 graduate of Auburn University School
of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to attending college, Dr.
McLemore served in the US Army as an air traffic controller
in Korea. He moved to the St. Petersburg area in 1983 and
purchased Gateway Animal Hospital in 1987. In 1994, Dr.
McLemore moved Gateway Animal Hospital to its new and much
larger location.

He is a member of the:
- American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)
- American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)
- Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA)
- Pinellas County Veterinary Medical Society (PCVMS)
Dr. McLemore served as president of the Pinellas County
Veterinary Society in 1995. In 1996, he received the FVMA
Gold Star Award for outstanding service to the veterinary
profession.

Dr. McLemore has a special interest in Radiology
and Internal Medicine. He also performs ultrasonagraphy at
the hospital.

|
| Dr. McLemore is an avid golfer and even had a hole in one
on the 17th hole at the Vinoy Golf Club. He also supports the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Devil Rays. |
|
| Dr. McLemore has been married to his wife, Laura, for 26 years
and has two daughters, Katie and Stephanie. |
